December really snuck up on us—seems like fall only just started, but here we are in the last month of the year! We have been working hard behind the scenes here at Occasionalish, but it's important to take time to enjoy the small moments of peace and warmth too.
Our go-to way to unwind after a busy day (during any time of year, really) is to curl up with a mug of hot tea, with one of our soy candles flickering away nearby. For this season, we are loving the Sprig of Spruce candle scent, inspired by snowfall on evergreen branches, as well as the nostalgic comfort of a fresh Christmas tree. It also pairs perfectly with our new Minty Green tea, a blend of calming green tea and a hint of peppermint to get us in the festive holiday mood.
And what better way to stir up festive feelings than some fresh snow? But what if you live in an area where snowfall is rare? In the San Francisco Bay Area where Occasionalish is based, we see a few tiny snowflakes maybe every five years. So we thought that for this year, we would create our own snow!
This "Snow from the North Pole" is a USA-made, non-toxic polymer. It may look small, but a little bit goes a long way! One teaspoon of the snow, added to 2 oz of water, will grow to a hundred times its original volume. We are offering this on our site paired with a festive greeting card, and it is available both in a kraft envelope or, for a more dressed up surprise, as a gift box.
