Soy Wax Candles

Soy Wax Candles

Have you ever walked in to someone’s house and were just blown away by how amazing it smelled? Or maybe you went in to a place of business and the smell was just something that was pleasant to your nose. How often do you wonder how you might be able to get your home or office to smell nice like that?

My secret: CANDLES!

The thing I love about candles is that they can be easily mixed. What I mean by this is that multiple fragrances can be burned at once, if that’s the aroma you are going for. They can even be used alongside other fragrance enhancers, such as plug ins.

I (obviously) love candles. While I have friends and colleagues who have candles just for decoration, I’m someone who enjoys burning the candles in order to get the scent throughout the whole space. But if you aren’t too familiar with candles, the buying process can be a little confusing. What type of candle is best?

At my little gift store, as well as in my own home, I have soy wax candles. Soy wax is a little different from paraffin wax, which I find just suites my home and lifestyle a little better.

Being an all-natural, renewable resource, soy wax has a number of benefits for me, which I why I chose to make and sell them versus the paraffin candles. Soy wax is derived from a vegetable, the soy bean, compared to the paraffin which is derived from petroleum. (Petroleum doesn’t sound too good to burn now does it?) Soy wax has a lower melting point than other candles, which causes them to burn slower. This means, you guessed it, your candles tend to last much longer because they burn at a slower rate. For me, the scents in soy wax candles also seem to be a little stronger as well.

Say hello to long lasting, smell good candles right?!

Another benefit of the soy wax is that it burns cleaner than other candles. You know when you see a candle and it is filled with that black soot or residue? Wax candles don’t typically burn this way. This keeps the aesthetic of the candle décor lovely, even if the candle is not being burned.

Have you considered burning candles in your home or office? Are you interested in trying out a new product? Maybe you’ve never tried the soy wax candles before, don’t just take my word on it, I encourage you to give it a try for yourself. Maybe you have a fragrance in mind but just can’t seem to find the perfectly blended candle. No worries! Check out my small gift store. We can build your personalized gift box, or help you gift someone with a homemade soy wax candle.

Everyone wants to walk in to a room that smells good right?
